The non-championship Danish Grand Prix was run over three heats in two days. Carel qualified ninth and finished last and eleventh in heat one on Saturday. In the second heat, the next day, he retired with a puncture on lap 17.
Stirling Moss won all three heats and was a clear winner on aggregate.
